Miss Universe Vietnam (Vietnamese: Hoa hậu Hoàn vũ Việt Nam) is an beauty contest held in Vietnam to select the country's representative to the Miss Universe pageant. The pageant is not related to Miss Vietnam or Miss World Vietnamese pageants.
The 2008 Miss Universe Vietnam was held at Vinpearl Land tourist site in Nha Trang on May 31, 2008. It is the first official Miss Universe Vietnam contest. However the organizer has no plan for the next edition.
The winner, Nguyen Thuy Lam, was the host delegate for the Miss Universe 2008 pageant to be held on July 14 in Nha Trang, Vietnam. She made the Top 15.
Due to new rules for hosting beauty pageants in Vietnam beginning in 2009, Miss Universe Vietnam could not be legally held (the rules state that only one pageant can be held in Vietnam per year, and Mrs. Vietnam received the license for 2009.) Thus, first runner-up to Miss Universe Vietnam 2008, Võ Hoàng Yến, will compete for Vietnam at Miss Universe 2009.
Miss VietNam Universe took place in Vinpearl, Nha Trang . There were 20 contestants participating. The final included 4 competitions : evening gown, swimsuit, áo dài and interview. This is the first edition of Miss Viet Nam Universe
